Some loads aren't rubbish.
Not every haul is a clearance. This camellia, many years in the same garden and in full bloom the day we lifted it, needed to travel to Brampton to live on with the same family that raised it. Strapped in, padded out, driven slow.

Started at 9am with a garage you couldn't walk through. Locked it at 2pm empty, swept, ready to be a garage again.

Three days, one quiet house, and a family who needed it done gently. We sorted, kept what mattered, and cleared the rest — paperwork, photos and personal effects handled the way we'd want our own to be.

One Sideboard's Worth of Silver & Curio
Silver teapot, pewter tankards, brass scales, a small army of Staffordshire figures and a row of royal commemorative mugs. One drawer. Forty years of careful collecting — sold as a lot at auction.

Star Wars Vehicles — Box One
Millennium Falcon, Imperial Shuttle, a Tauntaun — vintage Kenner from the original run. Loved, played with, kept. Off to a collector who wanted them back in one piece.

The second box from the same job — dozens of original-trilogy figures, a large Tauntaun, an Ewok or two. Star Wars sells. Same client, two lots, sixty quid back in their pocket.

Mahogany Bedroom Set
A tallboy, two bedsides and a matching mirror — solid mahogany, all in great nick. Listed on Facebook Marketplace on the Saturday, collected by a young family on the Sunday.

Small refectory table with two spindle-back chairs. Solid, well-made, the kind of set that looks better with a few decades of polish on it. Found a new dining room within a week.

Wood-Framed Two-Seater (& Its Armchair)
Sold as a set with its matching armchair — original rose-print cushions and all. A buyer in St Ives wanted them for a cottage, picked up the same week we listed.
Small win? Pay it forward.
When a client's 30% kickback is on the lower end, we give them the choice: take it, or pass it on. Anything passed on is donated to a local charity on their behalf — receipts and all. Even the smaller hauls come out a net positive for somebody.
