Reinstalling the dog doors

Truckbed installation
1.) Locate the two rail clamps (image a) and four 1/4-20
     stainless bolts supplied.

2.) Position the Hunt 'n Haul in the front of truck bed (against      the back of truck cab).

3.) Open the top of the unit. Remove carpet, it will have a
pull tab on one rear corner. Locate the two sets of
elongated holes (image b) at the outer edges of the
     Hunt 'n Haul top interior.

4.) Take one rail clamp and hook an edge under the lip of the      truckbed rail.

5.) Thread the bolt down through hole from inside the box,      threading it through the rail clamp. Finger tighten to hold
     clamp in place.

6.) Repeat this process on the remaining bolt and the
     opposite side.

7.) With the bolts finger tight, center the unit within the truck      bed walls (image c). The rail clamps will adjust due to
     the elongated holes.

8.) Once the unit is centered, wrench the bolts tight.
Reinstall carpet, with the pull tab towards rear of unit,
for easy fit slide front edge of carpet under latch
     mechanism cover.

Converting from the dog carrier to tool carrier
1.) Open both doors (image d)

2.) Reach inside top or bottom (image e), top is the easiest,
pull down on the spring pins (together) which releases
the assembly. Set the door panels aside.

3.) Now remove the divider panel. This will need to be stored
separate from the Hunt 'n Haul unit.

4.) Open the top and remove the carpeting, it will have a pull
     tab on one rear corner.

5.) Lift the latch handle and disengage the bottom push pins,      lift to remove the front panel.

6.) Place the bottom pins of the tool door in the holes
located in the front of the unit. Lift the panel into place
until the latch closes. To ensure the panel is latched,
compress the gasket by firmly pressing the two upper
     corners. (image f).

7.) Reinstall carpet in top with the pull tab towards rear of

unit, for easy fit slide front edge of the carpet under latch
     mechanism cover.

Removing and installing the divider
1.) Removing the divider. With the front door unit removed,
grasp the front edge of the divider and slide it to the right
(image g). This will release the divider from the spine
located on the back of the box. Pull the divider out at a
slight angle to clear the door opening.

2.) Installing the divider. Hold the divider vertical (with vents
at the top). Slightly angle the divider to clear the door
opening and place it in the unit. Adjust the divider lining it
up with the spine and push it into place. Slide the front
until it is at a right angle (image h).

Adjust, close or open the vents
1.) Lift panel by the flange that runs entire length of panel.
Slide to the stop and push down. This will hold the panel
open (image i) or closed (image j).

Reinstalling the dog doors
1.) Hold the door assembly by the center panel (tilted
towards you, image d) and align the spine in the center
of the solid panel and place the lower spring pins close
     to the holes.

2.) When the spline is in the offset tabs in the divider, push
     the door assembly in.

3.) The top spring pins should be against the unit,
compress the spring pins (image e) and push the door in
the rest of the way. (If you don’t hear the pins “pop” into
the holes, close one of the doors and move the entire
door assembly left or right until you hear the pins.)

4.) Pull slightly on the doors to ensure they are locked
     in place.

It is the responsibility of the end user to comply with all state and local laws regarding transportation of animals. The carrier should always be mounted securely and the doors closed whenever the vehicle is in motion. We do not recommend mounting the carrier at the rear of the truck bed as exhaust fumes may be harmful or fatal to the dogs within. It is also the end users responsibility to make sure that proper ventilation is provided and the dogs are not allowed to overheat. Always be sure to supply your dogs with adequate fresh water.
